The diagnosis of cancer usually pulls those affected out of the middle of their working lives and thus raises existential questions about their professional future:
- Can they keep their job?
- Is there protection against dismissal?
- How long is there an entitlement to continued payment of wages?
This brochure (written in German) contains detailed information on socio-legal topics concerning employment. You can also find out more about the possibility of “reintegration part-time work”, which came into force in Austria in 2017. In addition, reference is made to many helpful advice centers. Unfortunately, this brochure refers exclusively to Austrian law.
