Learn more about our online platform for youth cancer survivors.
Cancer doesn’t just impact the body—it disrupts every aspect of life. For young adults, it’s a journey through medical treatments, emotional turmoil, and profound personal transformation. This was the focus of a recent webinar hosted by EU-CAYAS-NET, where survivors, experts, and advocates came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities in reimagining support for young cancer survivors.
More Than a Website: A Digital Lifeline
beatcancer.eu is more than a website; it’s a place where personal stories become tools for healing and advocacy. Born from the European Cancer Plan, this initiative bridges gaps in survivorship care, offering a digital space where survivors can feel seen, supported, and empowered. It is a growing community of survivors and advocates working together to redefine thriving after cancer.
Ambassador Program
At the heart of beatcancer.eu is the Ambassador Program, a network of changemakers who’ve turned their cancer experiences into collective strength. These ambassadors, from all walks of life—graphic designers, policy analysts, artists—provide a unique support system.
Their home base? A dedicated Discord server, a safe and anonymous space for sharing experiences. Here, survivors can connect across borders—like a designer in Lisbon finding solidarity with a student in Helsinki—through multilingual resources and shared stories.
Technology as a Bridge
Through virtual workshops, interactive webinars, and online spaces, beatcancer.eu ensures that support is accessible anytime, anywhere. Survivors aren’t just connecting digitally; they’re driving systemic change by challenging societal perceptions and reshaping healthcare policies. For young adults balancing medical recovery and life’s ambitions, this platform offers the nuanced and compassionate support they deserve.
