The first Czechoslovak conference entitled “What comes next?” held on June 1st, 2024 in Bratislava is a local event that will be held in Czech and/or Slovak: everyone has the opportunity to speak in their mother tongue, without simultaneous translation.

The aim of this event is to inform young people with lived experience about the possible risks of late effects of treatment, about the concept of follow-up care, national and international initiatives and organisations in Europe, which are dedicated, among others, to mutual peer support and seeking to improve quality of life after treatment for childhood cancer.

Also we aim to facilitate communication between young people with lived experience in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, to offer the possibility of discussion and space for cooperation on common topics.

  • Would you like to get to know other young people with lived experience as well as experts who work in the field of pediatric oncology and follow-up care?
  • Are you interested in mental health topics or what challenges are faced and what projects are being carried out by other young people in other European countries?
  • Do you want to make a difference but don’t know where to start?

If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, this event is meant for you!
