White Paper on the Needs of Young People Living with Cancer

Youth Cancer Europe’s White Paper sets out concrete steps and a timeline which allows the quantification of any real change its conclusions lead to, centred around five areas identified by YCE’s community as priorities for young people with cancer today.

Year:2018

Youth Cancer Europe’s White Paper sets out concrete steps and a timeline which allows the quantification of any real change its conclusions lead to, centred around five areas identified by YCE’s community as priorities for young people with cancer today.

These five advocacy topics complement the activities of other European patient organisations and focus on topics that are less urgently or not at all addressed by either younger or older patient demographics.

The white paper was launched in 2018 in the European Parliament where YCE brought financial discrimination into focus and addressed The Right to be Forgotten law for the first time in front of EU lawmakers.

Other key areas addressed are access to cross-border healthcare, fertility preservation, dental care and reconstructive surgery, and mental health.
