In this awareness movie two patient advocates discuss open disclosure about late effects after treatment, as well as the lack of long-term follow-up care across Europe.

Year:2019

Being diagnosed with and treated for cancer is hard and often a long and difficult period in the lives of young people.

At the same time, many survivors are not at all prepared for the road that sometimes lies ahead with surviving survival.

Even though being “cured” and called “long-term survivor”, after cancer treatment many young people struggle with several late effects that also affect psychosocial well-being on a daily basis.

In this awareness movie two patient advocates discuss open disclosure about late effects after treatment, as well as the lack of long-term follow-up care across Europe.
