Enhancing Pediatric Palliative Care in CataloniaThe recognition and proliferation of care services for complex and palliative needs in the paediatric age group is still in a developmental phase, and the services currently available for children and young people with incurable and/or advanced diseases are insufficient in Catalonia.

To provide comprehensive care for children and young people in Catalonia affected by life-limiting and/or life-threatening illnesses and to safeguard their rights.

This care must allow for an improvement in their quality of life and a longer stay at home, with the maximum possible comfort and facilitating the fact that they can die at home (if this is the option chosen by them and/or their family).
