Drug combination shrinks childhood bone cancer in zebrafish
A combination therapy against childhood bone cancer is efficient in living organisms: if the tumour is transplanted into fish larvae and treated with certain drugs, it shrinks significantly or disappears completely.
However, it will still take a while before it can be applied to children, said Dr Martin Distel and co-authors. The results were published in the renowned journal Cancer Letters.
