Join us for a special event on May 7 on the European Network of Youth Cancer Survivor’s Discord Server, where we’ll shine a spotlight on the impactful work of Acreditar in the realm of childhood cancer in Portugal.

Introduction: Acreditar’s Impactful Work

For over three decades, Acreditar has been a steadfast supporter of children and young people living with and beyond cancer, along with their families. Founded in 1994, Acreditar’s mission transcends merely treating cancer; it’s about nurturing the holistic well-being of young patients and their families.

Exploring Acreditar’s Mission

During this event, Tiago Costa, a dedicated Patient Advocate at Acreditar and CCI-Europe ambassador, will take us on a journey through Acreditar’s remarkable journey. He’ll delve into their mission of treating the child or young person with cancer, not just the disease itself, with a focus on promoting their quality of life and supporting their families every step of the way.

Tiago will share insights into Acreditar’s collaborative efforts with leading hospitals in paediatric oncology across Portugal, spanning cities like Lisbon, Coimbra, Oporto, and Funchal. These partnerships underscore Acreditar’s commitment to ensuring comprehensive care and support reach every corner of the country.

Inspiring Stories of Resilience: The “Barnabés” Group

A highlight of the event will be the discussion on the Portuguese survivors group, “Barnabés,” showcasing inspiring stories of resilience and solidarity within the community. Through these narratives, we’ll witness first-hand the impact of Acreditar’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of cancer survivors and their families.

Reaffirming Our Commitment

As we come together to reflect on Acreditar’s journey and reaffirm our commitment to supporting those affected by childhood cancer, let’s spread the word and invite friends to join us. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with and beyond cancer. See you on Discord, May 7th, 7PM CET! 🎗️✨
