Spotlight on the YARN Project at the Joint CCI Europe - SIOP Europe conference 2026

The 16th CCI Europe Conference (4–6 May 2026, Glasgow, UK), organised in partnership with SIOP Europe and embedded within the SIOP Europe Annual Meeting, brings together parents, survivors, healthcare professionals, and researchers to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and shape the future of childhood cancer care. Within this highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment - featuring joint sessions, abstract presentations, and networking opportunities - the YARN (European Youth Cancer Network) project will be prominently showcased as a key example of EU-funded, patient-centred innovation.

The European Youth Cancer Network spotlight during CCI Europe Conference

At the conference, YARN will be highlighted in three ways:

  • Through a project spotlight presentation, offering insights into its objectives, structure, and early impact—particularly its work on mental health, education, and quality of life.

  • YARN Work Package 2 will also feature in a CCI Europe session, underlining the central role of patient organisations in co-creating solutions and advancing mental health and psychosocial care standards across Europe.

  • In addition, a poster presentation will give a clear overview of the project’s different work areas. This includes activities such as the Youth Cancer Council, the digital platform, and topics like inclusion, equity, and healthy lifestyles.

Together, these formats make it easy for different people at the conference to learn about YARN - whether they are clinicians, researchers, or young advocates themselves - and to connect around shared interests and experiences.
