Marie-Therese Gubi of MUV presents "Comprehensive Initiatives for Mental Health and Psychosocial Care as well as Education and Career Support for Survivors within the European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors (EU-CAYAS-NET-Project)" at the 31st annual PanCare conference.
YARN (European Youth Cancer Network) is the follow-up to the EU-CAYAS-NET project, a flagship initiative under Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan led by patient advocates. The project brings together survivors, patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and researchers from across Europe.
The Medical University of Vienna, in partnership with CCI Europe and the entire YARN consortium, has worked to identify gaps in psychosocial care, and respond by developing concrete outputs – including awareness materials, webinars, educational videos, and a Joint Standard of Care that harmonizes existing guidelines for mental health and psychosocial support across Europe. The primary aim of this work is to ensure consistent, high-quality psychosocial, educational, and career support for CAYA cancer survivors throughout Europe.
