We are excited to share with you that on Sunday, April 6th, we will have the lovely Gosia with us and she will talk us through the project “I have cancer, so talk to me like that” that aims to raise awareness about the phrases we often hear, and how to talk to us and with us. She created 6 pairs of cardboard signs, and each pair featured a commonly used phrase that we hear and a better, more supportive alternative. From ❌ “YOU HAVE TO BE STRONG NOW” to -> ✅ “I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS TOUGH” From ❌ “DON’T WORRY, IT’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT” to -> ✅ “I WILL ALWAYS BE BY YOUR SIDE” She took these signs to the streets of Warsaw, stopping by busy areas and transports hubs, encouraging people to stop, read, and engage with the message. The response was amazing!! It was even taken to one of Poland’s largest TV stations during prime time!! And it’s also become a talking point in brainstorming sessions of other cancer foundations. Clear, uplifting communication can be tough, but we want more open and compassionate conversations, so… Let's talk!! See you on Discord this Sunday, April 6th at 19:00 🤗
