CCI-Europe presents "Enhancing Survivorship: EU-CAYAS-NET quality of life outcomes and future implementation in legacy project YARN" at the 31st SIOP/CCI Congress in Amsterdam.
Approximately 500,000 young cancer survivors live in Europe, with up to 75% experiencing long-term physical or psychosocial late effects. One major objective of the EU-CAYAS-NET project was to improve quality of life through strengthened psychosocial and mental health care, education and career support, long-term follow-up and transition from pediatric to adult care, alongside equality, diversity, inclusion, and sustainable network building via a European digital platform.
These efforts are continuing in YARN, which will continue to build on, expand, disseminate, and implement the outcomes and outputs of EU-CAYAS-NET though network growth, youth participation in influencing policy and care, digital tools, health promotion, inclusive practices, and the dissemination and implementation of common standards for psychosocial care, education, career reintegration, and transition across Europe.
