Greetings and welcome to Ghent, Belgium!
Enrollment is now open for the 29th PanCare meeting, scheduled for September 20th to 22nd, 2023. We’re excited to welcome you to Ghent for this event, hosted by Els Vandecruys, a Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist, and Lieselotte Wauters, a Nurse Consultant, from the Department of Pediatric Hemato-Oncology at Ghent University Hospital. This event is supported by vzw Kinderkankerfonds (www.kinderkankerfonds.be).
The meeting will be held at the ‘Virginie Loveling building’ (Virginie Lovelinggebouw), situated at Koningin Maria Hendrikaplein 70, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. It will run from 1 PM on Wednesday, September 20th, until 12 PM on Friday, September 22nd. The venue is conveniently located near the main train station, Gent Sint-Pieters.
PanCare Ghent promises an engaging program with talks on various aspects of long-term follow-up and survivorship care, updates on European research grants and collaborations. On the morning of Wednesday, September 20th, there will be four separate workshops catering to Parents, Health Care Professionals, and Researchers involved in long-term follow-up. The content is relevant to anyone connected with PanCare and others interested in these topics. Specific details about the workshops’ program and venue will be provided later.
For early risers on Thursday, September 21st, there will be a fun run/walk event.
The Social Dinner is set for Thursday evening at ‘Salons Carlos Quinto,’ located at Kammerstraat 20, 9000 Ghent. The cost for the dinner is €30 per person for PanCare meeting attendees and €50 per person for partners or accompanying individuals.
Limited travel and accommodation grants will be available for survivors and parents. To apply for these, please get in touch with info@pancare.eu, briefly introducing yourself and explaining your reasons for seeking a stipend. The deadline for stipend applications is July 28th, 2023.
