The questionnaire was developed by researchers from Babeș-Bolyai University through a collaborative process that also included input and feedback from Youth Cancer Europe and members of the YARN Youth Cancer Council.

The study looks at how relationships, support systems, communities, and social experiences during and after treatment can affect emotional wellbeing and quality of life. This includes friendships, family, healthcare professionals, peer support, online communities, isolation, belonging, and the broader social impact of cancer and life after it.

The survey is intended for:

  • young people aged 18+

  • with lived experience of cancer

  • across Europe

  • who are comfortable completing the questionnaire in English

Your experience will help shape future support programmes and resources for young people affected by cancer.

The findings will help generate evidence and recommendations around psychosocial support, peer support, emotional wellbeing, and social connection for young people affected by cancer across Europe."
