Rare cancers are types of cancer that occur infrequently, affecting a small percentage of the population. They can be challenging to diagnose and treat due to limited research and awareness.

Rectal cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancerous) cells form in the tissues of the rectum. The rectum is the last several inches of the large intestine. It often manifests with symptoms like persistent change in bowel habits, rectal bleeding or blood in stool, persistent abdominal discomfort, and unexplained weight loss. Early diagnosis aids effective treatment.

Refractory cancer is a type of cancer that does not respond to treatment. It may continue to grow or spread despite therapy, making it challenging to manage.

Renal cancer, also known as kidney cancer, is a disease characterized by the abnormal and uncontrollable growth of cells in the kidneys, vital organs that filter waste from the blood. Retroperitoneal sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the connective tissues located in the retroperitoneal space, an area in the back of the abdomen behind the peritoneum, which is the lining of the abdominal cavity. These tumors can grow quite large before causing symptoms, as they have space to expand in the retroperitoneal area.
